Reproduced from DataGuidance and its getting heavy in GDPR land: None of Your Business (‘NOYB’) [an activist group] announced, on 6 April 2021, that it had launched further action against Google LLC’s tracking code, namely Android Advertising Identifier (‘AAID’). In summary, NOYB stated that AAID allows Google and all apps to track a user and…[Read more]

    • Very helpful – thanks Nigel

    • Thank you, Steve. I am planning to do a series of top tips videos and I thought that I would begin (this time around) with market segmentation. It is such a simple idea and yet so many companies fail to grasp it. The key point is that marketing is all about customers.
The secondary issue is YouTube itself which turns out to be an enormous topic in…[Read more]

What are the easiest ways to create back links to a website so that Google is happier ?

    • Check that you have backlinks within your social media profiles. Within your LinkedIn profile, for example, you can have three website URLs. When you blog, use anchor text links between your own blogs and web pages. Send out press releases and include your full website URL when you do this. Join some of the better, long established online…[Read more]

Revamped my Eventbrite listing last Friday pm. Averaging two bookings every day, including some repeat names. Have to say this is unexpected.

    • Well done, Ken. I am glad to hear that this is working for you. What else can you do to increase the number of bookings?

What problems do your customers have? How can you solve them? This is a tried and trusted approach in radio and TV ads. They start with asking a question: Do you suffer from X? What if there was a way to do Y?
Think about specific customer segments and the challenges that they face.
How can your product or service help?
    People like to hear…[Read more]

Following on from yesterday’s Navigator session, now have completed the great experiment with Eventbrite as the promotional platform. In summary, the platform has great strengths and weaknesses. The strength seems to be in people searching for your topics/tags. The more the merrier, even if events are months apart. You don’t even have to actually…[Read more]

    • Hi Will, Yes, I like these event titles. I suggest that you start with:
What is a PWA (Progressive Web App) and how can it help your business?
In general terms, I think that you should simplify the message.
As Ken Tombs mentioned yesterday, if you are going to use Eventbrite, add lots of Tags.

    • I like the ‘What keeps you awake at night?’ event title, David. 🙂

    • As discussed during today’s workshop, events can be used to find new clients, David. As I have suggested to Margi, below, one does not have to use Eventbrite. You could add a form to your website, inviting people to register for the next event, for example. Now thinking about revamping my old book on Decision Making, sold a few through Amazon before. Not sure its worth the effort for a full paper version as the Quark/production costs are a bit steep. Also don’t have a publisher now. Any thoughts?
