I always see books as keys to opening the door to the media … for speakers and experts…. to raise their profile…. maybe to sell after giving a talk…. Lees competition at this time! However for me a lot of media are away… getting ready to go away…. or catching up after being away …. I would say never stop …. however it can be challenging especially at Xmas time too…. everyone is on wind down mode and got other things to think about too!
I could find the time but for me its about being in the right head space – and my head is always with the journalists I am liaising with for me clients so in a different head space!!
I just genuinely like to help people so happy to give some advice… need to add more advice on my PR website … my main bit of advice is to promote your promotion and that’s even easier now with social media!
Mine is ad hoc and when I have time I have experts and celebs blog for VeggieVision TV – always a juggle as my main work is my PR work so it’s just when I can create some time and not on a deadline!

I think they are ‘nice’ to have however I have never worked with someone as a result of being given a pen!! A few times I have given away super cotton bags with VeggieVision TV on them. I asked people to sign up for the newsletter in return and sadly after spending ages adding their details a lot unsubscribed straight away! I haven’t done this again!
Enjoy! Relax! You can chat to the producers and even let them know that you haven’t done this before – they need to make sure you are looked after and give their listeners the best show!
Member to subtly mention your business name/ website. Do not make it into a blatant advert as no one likes this!
