Hello Nigel. I am helping a client who is an audio visual subcontractor and who has an existing website http://www.modo.uk.net which is in an old format. He wants a new strand to his business as an audio visual consultant. We are preparing a new second WordPress website http://www.modo.solutions (which is in its embryonic state) for the new consultancy business and in due course the old website will be upgraded. The two sites however need visually to look linked now even though they are on two different templates.
My question is to ask advice on the use of colours. At present the new site uses the existing colours of beige and dark brown. This is OK but not overly exciting. Any advice to give the new site some visual panache?
Many thanks. David
Hi David, Thanks for asking this. As you know, I use the online graphics solution https://www.canva.com
Here is a interesting blog that they have written on choosing website colours:
PS If you search for Colour Wheel you will learn a great deal about colour theory and which colours work well together, i.e. http://www.bbc.co.uk/homes/design/colour_wheel.shtml
PPS I wonder whether @admin has any feedback on choosing website colours?
